Castmint vs AutoShorts

Their every plan stops at 1 series. Our ladder runs 1 → 2 → 3 → 4.

AutoShorts pioneered the self-running faceless channel — and caps every plan at a single series, with no Instagram. Castmint scales past both limits. Below is the full comparison, with a date and a source on every number.

Where AutoShorts is stronger

A comparison you can trust has to cut both ways. These are real advantages AutoShorts has over Castmint today.

  • Truly hands-off postingIf you want a channel that posts entirely by itself, with no review step, that is literally AutoShorts' product. Castmint deliberately requires your review before anything publishes — we think that protects your channel, but it is more work than their promise.
  • The simplest pricing in the categoryPlans named by posting frequency — 3 posts a week, 1 a day, 2 a day — are easier to understand at a glance than any credit system, ours included.
  • A proven, public track recordAutoShorts is one of the category's best-known success stories, with publicly reported growth over several years. Castmint is newer and smaller — we would rather say that plainly than invent numbers.

How we verified this page

Prices, plan structure, the single-series limit and the free-plan status on this page were verified live on AutoShorts' public pricing page on 2026-08-15. Castmint figures come from our own pricing pageand the code that enforces them. Where we could not test something ourselves, the table says so. One thing we noticed while verifying: AutoShorts' marketing copy invites you to “spin up multiple series across niches”, while every published plan lists one series — we note the difference as observed on that date, nothing more. This page is a sales page, not an audit, but every number on it has to survive one.

Frequently asked questions

Does AutoShorts have a free plan right now?

When we checked AutoShorts' pricing page on 2026-08-15, the free ($0) plan was shown but marked as temporarily paused. That can change at any time — check their site for the current status. Castmint's free plan is open: 30 credits, enough for 3 videos or 1 real AI film clip, watermarked.

Can I run more than one video series on Castmint?

Yes. Castmint's plans include 1, 2, 3 or 4 series slots as you move up the ladder, so a multi-channel operator is not capped at one series the way AutoShorts plans are.

Does Castmint post automatically like AutoShorts?

Castmint publishes natively to YouTube, TikTok and Instagram from the Growth plan, but you review every video before it publishes — nothing goes out without you. If you want a channel that posts entirely by itself with no review step, that is AutoShorts' pitch, not ours.

Which is cheaper?

AutoShorts' entry plan is $19 per month to Castmint's $23 (both verified 2026-08-15). The models differ: AutoShorts prices by posting frequency with one series per plan; Castmint prices by videos and credits with series slots that scale to 4. Which is cheaper for you depends on how many channels you run.
